I now have less bowel movements each day, my stress levels have decreased (and I have tools to manage stress), I am sleeping so much better, and my energy is back up to a place where I can exercise several times per week.  She gave me so many tools to help with all of these things. Tools that I have taken with me and plan to continue to utilize as I move forward.

My main goal was to stay out of the hospital and avoid any further surgeries.

I started working with Brittany one-year after ileostomy takedown surgery.  I was still recovering and feeling pretty weak and somewhat stressed and anxious about my situation.  Before working with Brittany, I would describe myself as grateful, but still symptomatic with some of the typical “fun” things that Crohn’s disease gives you each day.  I knew that it could be better than where I was at, and I was excited to keep healing, but I did not really know what direction to go in or what tools to utilize. My GI doctors, while supportive, did not provide a whole lot direction for someone like me.  Brittany was the absolute perfect person for me to discover and work with.

I needed help with my stress levels, my lack of sleep and low energy.  I also had a lot of fear surrounding my food choices, and being able to choose things that would not cause pain, blockage, inflammation, etc.  I was also suffering fairly consistently from anxiety. My main goal was to stay out of the hospital and avoid any further surgeries. Brittany really helped me identify all these things, develop goals that I wanted to attain with each, and provided consistent and professional feedback and accountability, so that I could achieve those goals.  Brittany also helped me gain back some confidence in how to feed and fuel my body without fear hanging over every meal.

I decided to work with Brittany because she was multi-dimensional in her approach.  Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable about diet, nutrition and how foods affect those of us with IBD, but she took in the whole picture of who I am, where I was at in life, where I wanted to be.  She helped me address so much more than my food choices and nutrition. Plus, I just felt that as a fellow woman with IBD, that she was coming from a place of realness and experience that I could respect even further.

After working with Brittany, I now have less bowel movements each day, my stress levels have decreased (and I have tools to manage stress), I am sleeping so much better, and my energy is back up to a place where I can exercise several times per week.  She gave me so many tools to help with all of these things. Tools that I have taken with me and plan to continue to utilize as I move forward.

Brittany is professional, attentive, knowledgeable, comprehensive, super friendly and trustworthy.  I would highly recommend her services to anyone and everyone!
